As of mid-2025, approximately 254,600 Ukrainian refugees are living in the UK. Survey data suggests that around 43% may have limited English proficiency, which significantly hinders access to healthcare, social services, and professional integration. Many face ongoing trauma, housing insecurity, and post-migration stress, increasing their vulnerability and need for culturally-informed, linguistically accessible support.

Open Door Ukraine is being developed through the TERN programme, which supports refugee-led social enterprises in the UK.
DONATE
Open Door Ukraine wants to provide its support free at the point of delivery. Without external funding, we rely on donations to sustain our work. Those accessing support may donate as much as they can afford — a realistic value for these sessions would be around £50 per hour — but contributions are entirely voluntary. This hybrid model ensures some sessions remain free while maintaining relationship-based support for families, professionals, and individual refugees.
GRANTS
We seek grant funding from government, philanthropic, and institutional sources to scale services and ensure access for those who need them most. These funds allow us to provide more sessions at no cost, support outreach programs, and maintain high-quality mentoring, interpretation, and professional wellbeing services.
SPONSORS
We welcome sponsorships from organisations aligned with our mission — including ENIC service providers — to expand reach and build sustainability. Sponsorship enables us to deliver free or subsidised sessions, promote our services to those most in need, and develop community resources that support integration and resilience.
PARTNERS
Partnerships with other NGOs, community organisations, and professional networks allow us to provide holistic support. By collaborating with educational institutions, healthcare providers, and civic programmes, we can better address language barriers, psychosocial needs, and professional reintegration challenges.
ADVERTISING
We offer limited opportunities for responsible advertising from organisations whose services complement ours and benefit the communities we serve. Advertising revenue is reinvested to maintain free access for users and sustain ongoing programmes.
